Marjorie (Foard) Neuway

Marjorie Lee Foard Neuway, 73, Donna, Texas, former Burrton resident, died March 1, 2003 in McAllen, Texas at the Hospice Comfort House. She was born April 5, 1929 in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of Leonard Marshall and Marjorie Randall Foard. She was the former owner of the Burrton Coffee Shop. She also spent many years assisting the late veterinarian, Dr. J. C. Symns.

She belonged to the American Kennel Club for many years. She enjoyed grooming and showing dogs. She also served several years as Guardian of Jobs Daughters, Bethel No. 43 of Burrton-Mt. Hope. After retiring she spent most of her time doing art work and fishing.

On June 2, 1947 she married E. Fay Neuway in Virginia.

Survivors: three daughters, Sharon Brooks, Thayer, Kansas; Brenda Howerton, Miami, Florida and Pamela Seck, Haven; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father, Leonard M. Foard and mother, Marjorie Moore.

Private services are pending. Internment will be in the Burrton Cemetery.
