Rudicel, Charles E.

Charles E. "Rudy" Rudicel, Jr., 77, lifetime resident of rural Burrton, died Friday, Februry 14, 2003. He was born July 31, 1925 in Reno County, the son of Charley and Allie May Davis Rudicel. He was a graduate of Burrton High School and the Salt City Businesss College of Hutchinson. He was retired from Hensley Oil, Burrton. He had also been an employee of Detroiter Mobile Homes for 19 years and had farmed. He was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Burrton American Legiion Post 196 and was a Mason with the former Burrton Lodge.
He married Macanna Seedle at Burrton on September 11, 1945. She died September 20, 1997.
Survivors: include one son, Charles E. Rudicel, III, Hutchinson; one daughter, Beverly Love, ElDordo; two brothers, Donald Rudicel, Marysville, Missouri and Keith Rudicel, Overland Park, Kansas; 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death in addition to his wife, by two brothers, Kenneth Rudicel and William Rudicel and one sister, Revae Vansickle.
A graveside service was held February 19 at the Burrton Cemetery. Military graveside honors were by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
