Obituary

Margaret Jean Smith Wall, 78, Halstead, died Wednesday, May 29, 2003 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation, Halstead. She was born December 27, 1924 at Sallyards, the daughter of Hoke and Ruby Sanger Smith.

She returned to Halstead in 2002 after residing in Loveland, Colorado and Eureka. She was a retired realtor and a former music teacher. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; was co-founder and charter member of Halstead Hospital Auxiliary and past Worth Matron of Order of Eastern Star, all of Halstead.

On June 1, 1947, she married Cornelius E. "Curt" Wall at Sallyards. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1997.

Other survivors; two daughters, Carol Jean Van Bloem, Park City and Crystal Wall, Utica, New York; sister, Flossie Wilkinson, Wichita.

Services were held at First Presbyterian Church, Halstead. Entombment was in the Halstead Mausoleum, Halstead, Kansas.
