Wall, Cornelius E. "Curt"

Cornelius E. "Curt" Wall, 77, Eureka, formerly of Halstead, died Monday, April 21, 1997 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born March 19., 1920 at Goessel, the son of Cornelius L. and Sara Neufeld. He spent his childhood days in the Burrton-Halstead area and resumed farming with his father after returning from World War II. In 1948 he attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicato wher he graduated as an electrician. He then returned to Halstead where he farmed and owned his own coonstruction company, building custom houses. In 1967 he moved to Loveland, Colorado where he lived until March of 1997, moving on to Eureka. While in Loveland, he was involved with Hewlett-Packard, an electroniics company, until his retirement.
He was a member of First Presbyuterian Church and Masonic Lodge, all of Halsteda. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 168th infabtry during the invasion of Africa and Italy.
On June 1, 1947 he married Margaret Jean Smith, Wallyards at the Reece Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: wife; two daughters, Carol Umholz, Van Bloem, Provo, Utah and Crystal Akers, Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Helen Ediger, Burrton and Frieda Toews, South Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his sparents, brother, Walter Wall and brother-in-law, George Wilkinson.
Memorial services were held April 24 at the Church in Halstead. Entombment was in the Halstead Mausoleum.
