Herbert Fulton Purcell, son of A. J. and E. P. Purcell died at the family residence near Burrton on Monday morning, April 30, 1883 at the age of 13 years, 4 months, 24 days. He w as sick but a few days and the announcement of his death was a startling one to a large portion of this community.
The funeral service was held on Sednesdy, May 2nd at which there was a very large attendance of neighbors and friends.
