Obituary

Dorothy Mae Hoskinson, was born near Burrton, Kansas on July 17, 1924 and passed away at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson on June 7, 1943 a the age of 18 years old. As a child she attended the Victor rural school and Burrton grade and high school. She always took a lively interest in all school activities and worked hard in all of the organizations with which she was connected.
She finished high school in 1942 and immediately entered the nursing school at Grace hospital in Hutchinson to prepare for her chosen work. She worked at her tasks there faithfully and well, and was on duty when illness overtook her. She was kind and thoughtful, full of fun but with an unusually serious side too.

During her illness, she tried so hard to get well and was so brave through it.

She leaaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Hoskinson; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Hawkins and Miss Marguerite Hoskinson; brother, Pfc. Herman D. Hoskinson of Cherry Point, North Carolina; two little nephews, Michael and Jerome Hawkins and her grandparents, Mrs. W. W. Jerome and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Hoskinson.

Services were held at the Methodist Church and burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
