Obituary

Jane Marie Leander, 58, passed away on Wednesday (Feb. 15, 2012) at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born on April 25, 1953, in Wichita to Clayton William and Elaine (Graber) Fisher. Jane married Wayne G. Leander on Aug. 24, 1991, at First United Methodist Church in Newton.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne G. Leander of Halstead; stepmother, Sue Fisher of Valley Center; three brothers, Curtis Fisher of Valley Center, Glen Fisher of Salina, Okla., Gordon Fisher and wife, Kathlene of Sedgwick; a sister, Carol Lawrence and husband, Kevin of Salina, Okla.; and her aunt, Thelma Ball and husband, Arzell of Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and a brother, James Fisher.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Viewing will be private per the family’s request. Memorials may be made to Kechi United Methodist Church, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
