John Watrous Plummer

Attorney, John W. Plummer, 44, of Newton, died suddenly Sunday afternoon of an aparent heart attack. He was a lifelong resident of Newton. He was the son of Bernard W. and Laura Plummer.

Mr. Plummer was assistant Newton City Attorney
and had recently been named Harvey County Republican chairman. He also was a former Harvey County Attorney and was attorney for the City of Burrton for several years, resigning in 1965. He was associated with the Peterson and Plummer law firm in Newton.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Newton, with Rev. Charles A. McGinley, rector, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
