Obituary

Charity A. Jerome was born May 4, 1879 at Burrton, Kansas and departed this life July 23, 1968 at the age of 89 years, 2 months, 19 days.

She was the daughter of Peter and Susan Carey and the last survivor of twelve children. She married Charles E. Jerome December 27, 1900 at Hutchinson.

She became a member of the Burrton Christian Church at the age of 12 years. She has been a semi-invalid for the last five years and was cared for by her daughters, Josephine and Genevieve.

Having lived her entire life in the Burrton vicinity, she was called Aunt Charity by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her loss, two adopted daughters, Josephiine Jewell Jerome and Genevieve Pearl Enns, daughters of her sister, Cora Nan Jewell.

She had one grandson, Dale Blandin, his wife, Merlyn and five great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday morning at the Church. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
