Obituary

Clarence H. Sanders, 79, died Tuesday evening, January 2, 1968 at the Colonial Manor Home, Haven. after a long illness. He was born July 15, 1888 at Burrton and had been a lifetime resident here. He married Emma Schwendener on August 31, 1924 at Valley Falls. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Burrton Methodist Church.

Survivors widow, Emma; son, Vestal Ray, Carpinteria, California; daughters, Mrs. Bertha May McElwain, Burrton; Mrs. June Grant, San Francisco, California and Mrs. Norman McIlrath, 23 Sunflower, Hutchinson; brothers, Jess, 216 West 19th, Hutchinson; Elmer, Woodland, California; Lawrence, Cleveland, Texas; four trandchildren and one great grandchild.


Services were held January 6 at Burrton Methodist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
