Obituary

Samuel R. Zimmerman, 77, died suddenly May 22 at his home south of Burrton. He was born July 5, 1890 at Jonesboro, Tennessee and lived in the Burrton area since 1916.

He married Alice Vollweider at Bentley on February 225, 1920. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the Armys 59th Engineers in France.

In addition to his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Pauline) Crawford; two sons, Richard of Salina and Fred of Florissant, Missouri; sister, Mrs. Bessie Huffine of Jonesboro, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Services were held at Kaufman Funeral Home on Saturday. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
