Obituary

Percy Raymond Collins passed away April 30 at the age of 79 years at the Colonial Manor in Haven, Kansas. He was born May 1, 1890 in Valley Township where he lived until 1923 when he moved to Burrton Topwnship where he lived the remainder of his life. He married Aimee Matlack on January 19, 1910. She died in 1965. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove Church. He served as Township Trustee and Accessor over a period of 25 years.

One son , Joe, preceded him in death in 1966. Survivors include sons, Chet; Melvin; and Ray of Burrton; Don of Long Beach, California; daughters, Betty Scott and Marie Anderson of Burrton; Irma Hoskinson, Anthony; Charlotte McElwain of Marion, and Carol Ehrich of Placentia, California; 26 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Matlack. Haven; one brother, Art, Rural Burrton.

Services were eld at the United Methodist Church in Burrton with burial in Burrton Cemetery.
