John H Flickinger

John H. Flickinger, 31, died Tuesday, January 12, 1971 following a car-train accident. He was born February 18, 1939 at Burrton and married Leila David May 3, 1959 at Halsted. He was a quality control supervisor for Cessna and had lived here most of his life.

John was a member of the Burrton Mennonite Church and was active in Boy Scout work, having served as both Cubmaster and Scoutmaster of Pack 126 Troop 126.

Survivors: include the widow, Leila; daughters, Susan, Kelly, Michelle and Deanne, all of the home; mother, Mrs. Ella Flickinger, brothers, Ronald and Jake, Neton; David and Larry, Burrton; Eugene Wichita; sister, Mrs. Selma Dalke, Hutchinson.

Services were held January 16 at the First Mennonite Church in Halstead with Rev. James Gingerich officiating. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
