Obituary

Fred Van Rossun, 71, died Tuesday at the Halstead Nursing Center after a short illness. He was born April 30,1900 at Halstead and married Vitiline LaGree on April 15, 1922 at Newton. She died in 1963.

Mr. Van Rossun was a retired laborer for the railroad and mobile homes industry. He moved to Burrton in 1968 from Newton. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton.

Survivors: sons, Ross, Newton; Clifford, Moundridge; daughters, Mrs. John Martin, Newton; Mrs. Fred Slaven, Hesston; Mrs. Eugene Angle, Irving, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Services were held at Draper-Cannon Chapel in Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
