Obituary

Grace Emma Comes was born February 1, 19879 at Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Martha Everett. She was the youngest of eight children. In 1886 with her parents, she moved from Toledo to Colorado in a covered waton. The family settled in a small community which bears their name, Everett, Colordo. A few years later they moved to Aspen, Colorado, where she resided until she was united in marriage September 11, 1900 to Clyde David Comes from Burrton, Kansas.

The young couple moved to Burrton where she has resided until the time of her death, March 8, 1972 at the age of 93 years, 1 month, 8 days.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star for more than 60 years.

Mr. Comes preceded her in deth August 11, 1934. She leaves one son, Jack Comes; one daughter, Mrs. Jo Marmont, both of Burrton; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Church on March 11 with burial in Burrton Cemetery.
