Clarence H Smith

Clarence H. Smith, 74, died early Monday, October 2, at Halstead Hospital following a long illness. He was born March 19, 1898 at Waterloo and married Loretta Utt on September 2, 1933 at Wichita. He was a retired engineer for Derby Refining Company and had lived in Burrton for 26 years.

Mr. Smith was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors: the widow; sons, John and Sidney, Dan Jacinto, California and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Christian Church with Rev. R. S. Fanestil officiating. Burial will be in the Burrton Cemetery.
