Steffe, Ralph E.

Ralph E. Steffe, 75 of Sedgwick, died Monday evening, March 20, 1972 at Axtell Christian Hospital. He was a retired bulk station agent for Mobil Oil Corp.
He was born September 13, 1896 in Sedgwick and was a lifetime resident of the area. His parents were David L. and Louella Steffe.
He married Edna England June 7, 1951 in Wichita. His first wife, the former Margaret Nation, died in 1949.
Mr. Steffee was a member of the United Methohdist Church,; a charter member and past commander of the Sedgwick American Legion; a life member of Newton Masonic Lodge and Newton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, past master of Sedgwick Masonic Lodge and a member of Topeka Council, Ancient Toltee Rite and also a member of the Wichita Consistory.
He was an army veteran of World War I.
In addition to his widow, survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Homer (Billie) Cisco of San Bernardino, California; Mrs. Eldon (Ann) White, Atkins, Arkansas; Mrs. Anderw (Barbara) Haardin of San Jose, California; and Mrs. Harry (Roberta) Robson of Barton Rouge, Louisiana; two stepsons, Keith England of Rogers, Arkansas and Harold England of Altamont, Kansas; two stepdaughters, Miss Shirley England of Newton and Mrs. M. E. (Donna) Pierce of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Baird of Hoisington and Mrs. J. J. Salisbury of Halstead; 8 grandchildren; 12 step-grand children and three great grandchildren.
Services wer held March 23 at Draper-Cannon Chapel with Rev. Larry Harvey of Sedgick officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Sedgwick.
