Mary Ellen (Paden) Harris

Mary Davis Harris, 88, died May 23, 1973 at the Mary-L Home in Burrton following a short illness. She was born November 5, 1884 at Burrton and was married to Harry Harris, December 14, 1904. He died in 1949. She was a lifetime resident here. She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church; OES; Past Matrons Club and OAO Club.

Survivors include sons, Harold, Halstead; Warner, Mt. Hope; dughters, Mrs. Mae Galloway and Mrs. Blanche Matlack, Wichita; Mrs. Mildred Merritt, Haven; sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Long, Guymon, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Services were conducted from the Burrton United Methodist Church May 27 with Rev. Victor Dellenbaugh officiating. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Burrton Funeral Home.  The family suggests memorials to the Church.
