Charles Otis Persinger, 78, died Tuesday, October 16, 1973 at Mercy Hospsital, Moundridge. He had been a resident of the Burrton community for 35 years.

Charles was born September 20, 1895 at Stoy, Illinois. He married Zita Rice on February 25, 1927 atPanhandle, Texas. A retired oil field worker, he had been an employee of the Mobil Oil Company for 35 years.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Burrton; American Legion; Masonis Lodge; AF&FM; and was a World War I veteran.

Survivors: the widow, Zita; half-brother, Chester Bayes, Safford, Arizona; Ssthel (?) Bayes, Burns; half sisters, Mrs. Maud Warden, Wichita; Mrs. Leslie Bair, Henderson, Texas.

Services were conducted from the Burrton First Christian Church on October 20 with burial in Burrton Cemetery.
