Obituary

George H. Green 65, Wichita, son of Mrs. Kate Hess died Monday, September 16 at the Halstead Hospital following a short illness. He was born March 29, 1909 at Burrton and married Gladys G. Ready, on November 7, 1946 in Alva, Oklahoma.

Mr. Green was a member of the United Methodist Church. A retired auto mechanic, he lived in Wichita since 1950.

Other survivors include the widow; son, Robert, DeWitt Nebraska; daughters, Mrs. Juanita Hammond, Wichita; Mrs. Glenda Becker, San Diego, California; sister, Mrs. Glenys Unruh, Clayton, Missouri; seven grandchildren.


Services were held Wednesday, September 18 at the Burrton United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
