Clark, I. G.

The Newton Kansan

I. G. Clark, 83, former Newton resident and retired postal clerk, died Friday in Augusta. He was born August 6, 1877 in Harvey County and was married November 29, 1905 to Mabel Sara Crawford at Elbing. His parents were Oscar and Margaret Clark.

Mr. Clark began civil service work in 1912 and was transferred from Newton postoffice to Augusta in 1917. He retired from the postal service in 1945.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Vera Clark of Emporia; Mrs. Hazel Guy op Augusta and Mrs. Cathryn Wheeler of Baltimore, Maryland; two sons, Paul of Greybull, Wyoming and John of Augusta and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesdayat the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. The Rev. C. H. Hamm of Wichita will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
