Obituary

Mary Jane Westfahl, daughter of Oscar and Huldah Fryar was born March 8, 1901 near Burrton, Kansas and passed away March 24, 1974 at the age of 73 years and 16 days. She was married to George Westfahl April 8, 1921 and to this union were born four children. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Mrs. Mildred Phemister of Ft. Worth, Texas and Mrs. Esther Doerksen of Burrton; eight grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Inez Valdois, Haven and brothers, Harold Fryar of Valley Center and Raymond Fryar of Galena.

Mary joined the Pleasant Grove UM Church when she was a child and has been a faithful member since. She attended church services as long as she was able.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, Son, Warren; daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lilly and two grandchildren, Jerry and Judy Klein. She had lived in Valley Township most of her life, moving to Haven in 1966.

Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
