Obituary

Died at Burrton, on the 25th day of April 1884, O. P. Courtright, aged 20 years, 11 months and 29 days.

The deceased was a young man of brilliant promise. A hard student in early youth, he had become fitted for life's work and entered upon its rugged duties at an age when others are receiving their first lessons from the books. He was prompt, energetic, and active in the discharge of the varied duties which devolved upon him. Before his removal from Hutchinson he had received an appointment in the Hutchinson post office and for almost two years discharged his duties with the highest degree of acceptability to the public and to his principal.

In his premature death his widowed mother, sisters, and brothers experience a sad bereavement and in their day of affliction have the sympathy of our entire people.

The remains will be interred at Hutchinson, Sunday.
