Obituary

Malcolm Wendell Shive, 58, died Monday, September 27, 1976 at his residence in Hutchinson. He was born October 23, 1917 at Galesburg, Kansas. He had been a resident of Hutchinson since 1968, moving there from Burrton. A retired machinist, he was a World War II Veteran and a member of the Andale, Kansas VFW Post.

Survivors include two sons; Carl of Turlock, California and Allan of Oregon City, Oregon; two daughters, Miss Susan Shive of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Peggy Lindstrom of Buena Park, California; his mother and stepfather, Owen and Avis Roberts of Burrton; two brothers, Ernest Shive, Hutchinson and Keith Shive, Halstead; three sisters, Mrs. Geralding Clark, Edmond, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nadine Ingold, Wichita and Mrs. Georganna Macklin, Fullerton, California.

Funeral services were held at the Halstead United Methodist Church September 30 with the Rev. John H. Hastings. Burial was in the Shive-Hunt Cemetery south of Burrton, Kansas.
