Catherine E Farber

Catherine E. Farber, 80, died at the Halstead Hospital, Monday, after a lingering illness. She was born in Besse, Germany on September 30, 1865. She came to Halstead at the age of 16 with her aunt and uncle Henry Holle, to join her brother, Martin Banze. She was 80 Years, 11 months and 16 days old at the time of her death.

On May 21, 1887 she married Justus Farber. They had three children; William Adam, Selma Augustus and Edna Marie. Mr. & Mrs. Farber celebrated their 59th anniversary last May.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Justus Farber; son, William A Farber, Halstead; two daughters, Mrs. A. W. Bauman of Burrton and Mrs. John C. Buthman, Sioux City, Iowa; 5 grandchildren.

Memorial service was conducted from First Mennonite Church on Wednesday. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
