Obituary

L. Emogene Holzrichter Sherman, 898, homemaker and farm wife, died Thursday, Janauary 19, 2012 at Pine Village, Moundridge. She was born December 25, 1922 at Little River, Kansas to Fred and Berta Bannister Fuller.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church and Ruth Wilson American Legion Post Auxiliary, both of Halstead.

On June 1, 1941, she married Frank E. "Fritz" Holzrichter at Burrton. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1977. On February 12, 1985 she married Claude R. Sherman at Center, Texas. He passed away on September 11, 2003.

Survivors include sons, Kenneth (Beverly) Holzrichter, Charlotte, Iowa; Dennis Holzrichter, Denver, Colorado; Kevin Holzrichter, Burrton; sister, Elaine Walstrom, McPherson; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Keith and Hathan Fuller and a sister, Margaret Pope.

Services were held at Kaufman Funeral Home on January 224 with Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
