Obituary

James S. Darnall, 88, retired Farmers Co-Op scalemaster, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation, Halstead. He was born January 30, 1923 at Wichita, son of Ben and Lillie (Wilke) Darnall.

He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II in the South Pacific. On May 8, 1949 he married Edith Pauline Mahaffey at Wichita. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2011.

Survivors include a son, Ed Darnall, Kentucky; daughters, Joyce Jackson, Thornton, Colorado and Janet (Todd) McGinn, Olathe; brother, Roy (Freda) Darnall, Wichita; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Darnall and brother, Robert Darnall.
