Obituary

Lillian Hobbs, 94, formerly of Sedgwick, died December 15, 2004 at Kansas Christian Home, Newton. She was born in Sedgwick to Cornelius and Clara Nighser Jacobson. She married Howard Hobbs July 9, 1946. He preceded her in death.

She attended school in Sedgwick, graduated from Manhattan High School in 1927 and earned a bachelor's of science degree in business from Pittsburg State University in 1931. She taught in numerous rural schools. She loved to play the piano and played for silent movies as a youngster and enjoyed playing the piano professionally for friends, family and nursing homes.

Survivors include a brotheer, "Jake" Harold Jacobson, Newton, severl nieces and nephews.

Services were held December 17 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
