Obituary

Chester Lee Koehn, 72, Halstead, died May 5, 2004 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born November 12, 1931 at Montezuma, son of Pete B. and Hannah Schmidt Koehn. He was a longtime Halstead resident and was retired from Hesston Corporation after 29 years. He was a member of the Garden View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Halstead.

On September 19, 1954 he married Marcella J. Unruh at Galva. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son Keith E. Koehn, Avera, Georgia; three daughters, Karen R. Unruh and Kathy J. Koehn, both of Halstead and Kimberly Koehn, Burns; his mother, Hannah Koehn, Montezuma; 3 brothers, Lewie Koehn, Monterrey, Tennessee; Frank H. Koehn, Lamar, Missouri and Ardell Kooehn, Burrton; sister, Marlene Decker, Walker, Missouri and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Koehn and a brother Vernon Koehn.

Services were held May at the Church in rural Halstead. Burial was in the Garden View Church Cemetery, rural Halstead.
