Obituary

Vernon D. Koehn, 68, Halstead, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at his residence. He was born May 14, 1935 at Montezuma, son of Pete B. and Hannah Schmidt Koehn. He was a line worker for Legg Company, Halstead. He had been a resident of Halstead for 35 years and was a member of the Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, Halstead.

On January 31, 1960 he married Carol Issac at Rich Hill, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include; two daughters, Sherry Scharff and husband, Mitch, Halstead and Annette Houchin and husband, Bruce, Ventura, California; his mother, Hannah Koehn, Montezuma; four brothers, Chester Koehn, Halstead; Lewie Koehn, Monterey, Tennessee; Frank Koeohn, Lamar, Missouri and Ardell Koehn, Burrton; sister, Marlene Decker, Walker, Missouri; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Koehn

Services were held April 20 at Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Halstead. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
