Obituary

Bonnie Maary Unruh, 65, Newton, wife of Donald Unruh, former Halstead resident, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Newton Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1938 at Poughkeepsie, New York, the daughter of Richard and Blanche Switzenberg Sharkey. She was a crew chief at Hehr International for 20 years. She enjoyed league bowling at Play-Mor-Lanes, Newton.

On August 30, 1957, she married Donald R. Unruh at Kansas City. He survives. Other survivors: two sons, Jeffery Ray Unruh, Walton and Kenneth Ray Unruh, Newton; daughter, Betty Jean Unruh, Newton; her father, Richard Sharkey, Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Bruce Sharkey, Kansas City, Kansas and Michael Sharkey, Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Sue Ann Green, Kansas City, Missouri; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Ray Unruh, her mother, Blanche Sharkey and grandson, Brian Daniel Benewiat.

Services were held February 23 at Kaufman Funeral Home with Burial in Halstead Cemetery.
