Obituary

Ina F. Waltner, 71, Newton, mother of Doug Waltner, Halstead, died April 11, 2004 at Newton Medical Center, Newton. She was born June 15, 1932 at Winfield, daughter of Lonnie Paul and Vera J. Pierce Ludlow.

She graduated from Winfield High School and attended Emporia State University. She had volunteered with Harvey County Voter Registration.

On September 30, 1952 she married Merle Waltner at Newton. He survives. Other survivors: daughters, Kathy Coons, Valley Center; Paula Rice, Desert Hot Springs, California and Susan Waltner, Wichita; 9 grandchildren and a great grand child. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Reutler.

Services were held April 15 at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton. Burial was in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Newton.
