Obituary

Everett R. Weesner, 62, Penrose, Colorado, former Halstead resident, died February 29, 2024 in Canon City, Colorado. He was born December 24, 1941 at Newton, the son of Melvin R. and Gladys Ewert Weesner.

He graduated from Halstead High School in 1959 and was a graduate of the International School of Ministry. They moved to Penrose five years ago where he was the pastor for Crossroads Fellowship. He was a board member of the Caring Pregnancy Center, and was chairman of the board for the New Horizons Child Placement Agency.

He married Paulette K. Mueller. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his mother, Gladys Weesner, Halstead; four sons, Jeff Weesner and wife, Maritza of Spain; Mike Weesner, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mark Weesner, Westminister, Colorado and David Weesner, Bremerton, Washington; four daughters, Sandra McCracken, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Lori Flynn, Thief River Falls, Minnesota; Jennifer Simpson and husband John of Bremerton, Washington and Connie Weesner, Audubon, Minnesota; one sister, Delores Buergey, San Diego, California; two brothers, Don Weesner and wife Linda, Wichita and Bill Weesner and wife Jody, Halstead; 1 9 grandchildren.

Services were held March 5 at First Assembly of God, Canon City, Colorado. Interment was at the Halstead Cemetery, Sunday, March 6, 2004.
