Obituary

Ann L. Wiebe, 75, died July 1, 2004 at Wichita as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born December 18, 1928 at Newton, the daughter of McCulley and Vera Raymond Ashlock. She was a 1947 graduate of Newton High School and a graduate of Southwestern College, Winfield.

She was a former school teacher in McPherson in the early 1950's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Newton.

On June 22, 19142 she married Carl Wiebe in Newton. He preceded her in death November 8, 18915.

She and her husband founded Wiebe Tire and Automotive in Newton in 1960. She was also owner and operator of Wiebe Rentals in Newton.

Survivors: one son, Kevin L. Wiebe and wife, Kim, Tishomingo, Oklahoma; two daughters, Karla Wiebe Shepherd and husband Steve; and Kristie Wiebe Cox and Steve Cox, all of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brother in laws, Gus Wiebe, Newton and John Wiebe, Derby; two sisters-in-laws, Edna Wiebe, Lohr, Kansas and Lois Wiebe Ferm, Lindsborg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; two sisters, June Freeman and Norma Hardman and one grandson, Jeremiah Carr Williams.

Services were June19 at Peterson Funeral Home, Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
