Williams, Maxine F.



Maxine F. Williams, 84, Buhler, former Burrton resident, died March 24, 2004 at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born December 25, 1919 at Watonga, Oklahoma, daughter of Harold and Gertrude Oller Hoskinson. She had lived most of her life in Burrton, living the last 10 years in Buhler. She worked in the kitchen at the Burton Grade School for many years.

She married Otto C. Williams on July 18, 1938 at McPherson, Kansas. He died March 25, 1976. She attended the Pleasant Grove Church, rural Burrton and Burrton Christian Church.

Survivors: two sons, Snook Williams, Burrton; and Kenny Williams, Hutchinson; three daughters, Judy Jones, Haven; Marilyn Phinney, Buhler; and Gail Cirkel, Buhler; 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grand children. Her parents preceded her in death as did two brothers, Bob Hoskinson and Bill Hoskinson and three sisters, Ruth Mae Hoskinson, who died in infancy and Pauline Scott and Norma Hoskinson.

Graveside services were held March 27 at Burrton Cemetery conducted by Pastor Sherman Sack.
