Obituary

Shelley Ann Burton Wilmore, 42, Whitewater, former Halstead resident and daughter of Deloris Burton and sister of Kim Black, both of Halstead, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was born May 20, 1961 in Wichita, daughter of Donald and Deloris Warren Burton. She married Sam Wilmore September 9, 1993 in Emporia. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fedeerated Church, Whitewater.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, boating, water skiing, camping, music concerts and especially riding her motorcycle. She was active in Narcotics Anonymous and church activities.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Wilmore, Whitewater; one son, Sean Walters, Newton; three daughters, Nicole Walters, Halstead; Haley Walters of the Home and Amanda Powell and her husband Dave Gardner; one brother, Don Burton and his wife, Debbi, Valley Center; one sister, Kim Black and her husband, Russ, Halstead; her mother; one granddaughter, Isabella Powell, Gardner; three nieces, four nephews, a grand niece and aunts and uncles.

Se was preceded in death by her father, Donald Burton and a brother, Steven Burton.

A memorial service was held May 14 at the Federated Church in Whitewater.
