Struck By Lightning
The Burrton Monitor, 07 Aug 1885
Last Friday, during the rain, Mr. H. Baughman and son, of Valley township, Reno County., was struck by lightning. Mr. Baughman was knocked down, but soon recovered. His boy was on a hay stack near by, and was knocked down, rolled to the ground, burned about the body and had his shoe torn off. As soon as the father recovered he took the boy to the house and by Monday morning he was walking around.
