Sharron J. (Johnston) Gaede

Sharron J. Gaede, 62, former Halstead resident, died September 10. 2005 at her resident in Newton. She was born September 2, 1943 to William amd Iva B. Brawley Johnston in Halstead. They preceded her in deth.

she married Lugene Gaede on April 17, 1972 in Newton. He survives. She was a member of Rebekah's Lodge; American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, all of Newton. She also volunteered her time with the Newton Senior Center. Her hobbies included reading and her extensive collection of angels.

Other surivors: two sons, Jerry Gaede and wife, Gina, Newton and Daniel Gaede of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Teresa Gaede Driver, The Colony, Texas; brother, Noah Wright Johnston, Tyrone, Oklahoma; sisters, Ruby L Ratlaff, Buhler and Norma Jean Little, Pennsylvania; 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Glenn and Theodore and two sisters, Gladys and Barbara.

Services were held September 14 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jim Mainzer officiating.
