Obituary

Cecil C. Gifford, 79, of Burrton, died April 17, 2005 at the Bob Dole Veterans Administration Center, Wichita.

A longtime resident of Burrton after moving from Hugoton in 1985, he retired froom Panhandle Pipeline. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Butch, Joplin, Missouri and Ron, Wichita; daughter, Lavonn Gettman, Georgetown, South Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary; brother, James R. Coker and sister, Bess Chapman.

Graveside services will be April 2 1, 2005 at Burrton Cemetery.
