Obituary

Goldie Fern Hale, 87, Lindsborg, a former Sedgwick resident and mother of Gary Hale of Sedgwick, died Friday, July 8, 2005 at Lindsborg Community Hospital.

She was born August 30, 1917 at Buchanan County, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Mattie Cotter Crossfield. She married Woodrow Hale on November 24, 1937 at Doniphan. He preceded her in death November 1, 1991.

She was a homemakekr and a resident of Lindsborg since 1980 after moving from Sedgwick.

Other survivors: son, Lary Hale, McPherson; daughter, Nancy Hershberger, Lindsborg; sister, Ruth Hale, Mulvane; 7 grandchidren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Iona McQueen.

Services were held July 11 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg. A graveside service was held later the same day at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
