Hill, Curtis Allen

Harvey County Independent

Curtis Allen Hill, 55, husband of Deborah Hill of Sedgwick, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

He was born on September 18, 1949 to William Howard and Barbara Cooper Hill in Cornwall, New York. He served in the Marines Corps and was a Vietnam veteran, serving two tours of duty.

He married Deborah Kennedy on September 14, 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Curtis worked as a groundskeeper and was active with the American Legion. He enjoyed being with family, camping, boating and swimming.

Other survivors include his father, William H. Hill of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; son, William Glenn Hill, Sedgwick; daughter, Darcy Schroer of Frisco, Texas; sister, Lynne Parkinson, Atlanta, Georgia; five nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; and one reat-niece.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Cooper Hill; broher, Norman Hill and sister, Valerie Hill.


Services were February 14 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Brooner, American Legion commander, presiding.

Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
