Obituary

Delphia A. Koehn, 76, Newton, former Halstead resident, died August 15, 2005 at Newton Medical Center. She was born on March 26, 1929, daughter of Herman and Alvina Becker Pjesky.

On August 7, 1949 whe married Elmer Koehn at Halstead First Mennonite Church. He survives of the home.

She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Newton. She was a past president of the J. C. Janes in Newton. She worked as a bookkeeper for the former First National Bank, Newton and retired as a certified nurse aide from the Bethel Home for the Aged., Newton. She enjoyed spending her time reading and with her family.

Survivors: son, Joel Koehn, Newton; daughter, Evalie Ainsworth, Newton; sisters, Erma and husband Joseph Torricelli, LaMesa, California; Arnita and husband Donald Haury, Halstead and Lora Andreasson, San Diego, California and grandson, Jon Ainsworth, Newton. She was preceded in death by her parent and a younger sister, Ruth Marie.

Services were held August 17 at Petersen Funeral Home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
