Obituary

Effie E. Lemon, 889, Marion, grandmother of Tammie Bean, great-grandmother of Donnie Brandon and Sam Bean, and great-great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Taylor Bean, all of Halstead, died July 5, 2005 at Marion Manor.

She was born August 31, 1915 at Wakita, Oklahoma; daughter of Lemon O. and Martha Sutton Ransford. She was a homemaker.

She married George M. Lemon on June 15, 1940 at Joplin, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

Other survivors: son, Bob Lemon, Lehigh; 3 daughters, Bonnie Rindt, Marion; Betty Stephens, Virginia Beach, Firginia and Patrice Lemon, Florence; 14 other grandchildren; 21 other great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 9 at Koerner Heights Church of the Mennonite Brethren, Newton. Burial was in Garden of Memories, Newton.
