Obituary

Cora Lee "Corky" Regier, 84, former Halstead area resident, died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at her Wichita residence. She was born August 2, 1920 to Yantis and Alpha Baxter Hawkins at Lake City Oklahoma.

On October 27, 1940, she married Wilbert Dan Regier at Anthony, Kansas. He died October 29, 1999. A 14 year resident of Lyons and Hillsboro, she was a bookkeeper and former office manager at Irv Schroeder Chevrolet, Hillsboro. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Halstead.

Survivors include a son, Jarold Regier, Hollywood, Florida; three daughters, Barbara Mize, Wichita; Sandra Rigby, Andover and Connie Regier, Spring, Texas; sister, Mary Miller, Wichita; eight grandchildren and two great-grancchidren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Brooks, Don and Arnold Hawkins and sisters, Leona Payane, Gerrie Augistanick, Lucille Ashlock, Goldie Ayers and Jean Naden.

Graveside services were held January 19 at Halstead Cemetery. Services were held the same day at First Mennonite Church, Halstead. Rev. Cleo Koop officiated.
