Obituary

Edward R. Siemens, 85, of Hesston, former Burrton resident, died January 14, 2005 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born December 22, 1919 at rural Burrton, the son of Abraham R. and Katie Regier Siemens.

A resident of Hesston since 1958, he was a farmer and since 1947 owned and operated Siemens Brothers Earthmoving.

He married Alma I. Bereger August 30, 1951 at Henderson, Nebraska. She died March 8, 2004.

Survivors: four sons, Kenneth, Buhler, Karl, Newton and Klifford and Kelvin Siemens, both of Hesston; sister, Welma V. Stucky, Moundridge and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Marvin Siemens.

Services were held January 18 at Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastors Peter Voran and Brent Warkentin. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery, Buhler.
