Obituary

Harold A. Zimnpfer, 85, of Halstead, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Kansas Christian Home, Newton. He was born May 7, 1920 in Buffalo, New York, son of Edwin H. and Emma A. Youndt Zimpfer. Both preceded him in death.

He married Norma I. Crass Staffeldt on Febrary 14, 1941 at Blossem, New York. She preceded him in deth April 9, 1994.

He was a tool and die maker truck driver and member of the Haysville Masonic Lodge AF & FM. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps WW II veteran and lived in Halstead since 1992.

Survivors; sons, Edwin Zimpfer, Cassoday and Paul Zimpfer, Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a brother, Irving Zimpfer.

Graveside services were held August 19 at the Halstead Cemetery. The Masonic service was presented by Haysville Masonic Lodge AF & FM. Military honors were conducted by Ruth-Wilson American Legion Post 231, Halstead.
