Obituary

Calvin R. Becker, 68, died July 9, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was born January 13, 1938 at Newton, son of Glen R. and Della Unruh Becker.

He graduated from Halstead High School in 1956 and married Shirley A. (Annett) Becker on June 1, 1957 at Newton. She survives in McPherson.

He was a farmer and manager of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 in McPherson.

Other survivors: daughters, Brenda L. Pointing and Denise G. Ward, both of Salina; son, Scott R. Becker of McPherson; his mother, Della Becker, Halstead; brothers Ron Becker, Loveland, Colorado and Errol Becker, Newton and 7 grandchildren. His father preceded him in death.

Graveside service was held at the Halstead Cemetery on July 12 with Minister Marlin Unruh presiding.
