Obituary

Linda R. Dilts, 89, Neton, died September 6, 2006 at Newton Presbyterian Manor. She was born December 27, 1916 in Hillsboro to Gerhardt H. and Anna Ratzlaff Bartel. She grew up in the French Creek Community, attending French Creek School and Hillsboro High School. She graduated from Tabor College Academy in 1937 and from nurse's training at Axtell Christian Hospital School of Nursing in 1941.

She married Euvyl Paul Dilts on March 10, 1950 in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death. They spent much of their married life farming around the Sedgwick area, where Linda was a homemaker and devoted nurse at Axtell Christian Hospital.

She was an avid wheat weaver and enjoyed traveling, eating out and being with friends at Sedgwick Senior Center. She loved Jesus Christ and her family and friends.

Survivors: daughters, Paula Diane Dilts-Fregara and John Strassberger of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ella Ruth Dilts of Dodge City; daughter-in-law,Carol Dilts-Jones, Sedgwick; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Ray Alan Dilts, five half-sisters, six half brothers and four sisters.

Services were held at Sedgwick Christian Church with burial in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Newton.
