Eddy J. Garrison, 61, Halstead, died November 19, 2006 at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas. He was born January 24, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jesse and Geneva Hensen Garrison. He married Linette Preston in Wichita on August 19, 1990. She survives.
He was a member of Newton Christian Church, Newton. He graduated from Shidler, Oklahoma high school and served his country in the Army Reserves, retiring after 27 years. He worked for Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita, retiring as a foreman after 27 years.
He was a former owner of Indian Hills Amoco in Wichita. He enjoyed umpiring softball for kids and adult teams.
Other survivors: parents of Garland; sons, Jim Garrison, Shawnee Mission and Tim Garrison, Wichita; stepson, Steve Mingle, Park City; stepdaughters, Susan Way, Wichita and Robin Kuhar Chandler, Arizona; brothers, John Garrison and Jesse Garrison, both of Garland; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Pastor Doug Ingmire of Newton Christian Church officiated at the service at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
