Obituary

Julie Haggard, 57, Sedgwick, died February 22, 2006 at her residence in Sedgwick. She was born July 23, 1948 in Wichita, the daughter of Harvey Dale and Ethel May Groves Pennington. They preceded her in death.

She married her first husband, Bill Johnson, in 1968. She then married Doug Haggard, who preceded her in death.

She worked in radio for many years and later in the title business. She was known by her friends and family as a meticulous housekeeper and truly enjoyed cooking and decorating. Family was very important to her and she kept in close contact with and looked forward to visits from her daughter and granddaughter.

Survivors: daughter, Heidi Walton and partner, Davd Putnam and granddaughter Taylor Marie Walton, all of Denver, Colo.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sue Creek and brother, Rick Pennington.

services were held February 27 at Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick with the Rev. Craig Reynolds officiating. Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, was in charge of arrangements.
